Maze Studio guide
How to make a large-print maze easier to use
Large print is a complete layout decision, not just a larger font. Path width, visual contrast, labels, and page density all need room to increase together.
Reduce page density
Use fewer cells and wider paths instead of scaling a dense maze until it barely fits. Preserve space around the puzzle and its labels.
Use direct visual cues
Label the start and finish with both words and simple shapes. Keep essential instructions in high-contrast text and avoid relying on color alone.
Test the physical page
Print at the target size and review the maze at normal reading distance. A screen preview cannot fully confirm line weight or printer contrast.
Pre-export checklist
- Use wider paths and fewer cells
- Keep text and maze lines high contrast
- Do not rely on color alone
- Review a printed sample at the intended size
